Before you book anything

Is your product demoable?

We say we will tell you within two days. Here is the same answer without the two days — five questions, and three of the ways out end in do not buy this.

Stea signs into a demo environment you control and clicks through your real software while someone watches and interrupts. The routes you demo most often are written for your product in advance; elsewhere it finds its own way, inside guardrails that let it open, filter and search but not submit, delete or change a setting.

So demoable is not a judgement about whether your product is good. It is whether that mechanism has anything to work with.

The five questions

Answered in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no email box.

Would a screenshot of your product explain more than a paragraph about it?

This disqualifies more products than the other four together: if the value is carried in words, driving the thing live adds nothing your documentation does not already do better.

Is there a demo environment with realistic data in it?

An empty one is worse than none — the screens open and show a product with no customers.

From login, how far is the screen that actually sells it?

Depth is a cost, not a wall. Setup that has to happen first is the wall.

Do different buyers need to see different things?

Fitting the demo to who is watching is what you would be paying us for. If one path serves everyone, a tour does it this afternoon for a fraction of it.

Do more people ask to see it than your team has hours to show it?

This is the problem it solves. If you can show everyone who asks, it only changes who does the clicking.

Answer the five above Decided by the worst answer, not by a score.

And what the gap is worth

Demoable is not the same as worth it. No price in here — ours is set with you on the call — so it ends in a number of demos, not a payback month.

The gap

35 demos

a month that nobody runs

Pipeline nobody opened
$630,000
At your win rate
$126,000
Hours to show them by hand
35 hours

Assumes the requests you turn down are as good as the ones you take. They are usually worse — halve it and see whether it still matters.

The floor, and ours

Below about 10 unrun demos a month the calculator stops agreeing with us: a week of writing routes and then a fee per demo is a worse trade than two afternoons of somebody's time.

The same arithmetic applies to us. Each demo our agent runs costs real money, so when the demo on this site goes live it carries a published daily cap and a booking link once the day is spent.

If the check sent you away: a recorded tour when every buyer needs the same thing, and a page per alternative for everything else.
