Stea vs Consensus
The closest positioning to ours. The difference is what the agent is driving.
What Consensus says it does
Consensus calls itself “the Interactive AI platform that turns every demo into a buying decision”, and publishes three formats: video demos, interactive and sandbox tours, and a “Live Demo Agent” running 24/7. They describe themselves as a leader in “Agentic GTM Platforms”.
Read on 1 October 2026 from their own site. Where they do not state a behaviour, the table below says so rather than scoring it against them.
What Consensus is good at
- The deepest enterprise footprint of anyone here, with the review-site standing to match.
- Stakeholder tracking across a buying committee, which we do not do.
- Video demo automation at a scale that suits a large field organisation.
What is different about Stea
Do not pick on the word “agent”
They ship a live demo agent and so do we, so the word decides nothing. What differs is the surface: ours signs into a sandbox of your product and clicks through the running software. If theirs does the same, the comparison moves to price shape and setup, and we would rather you asked them directly than took our word for it.
A week, and a fee per demo that worked
We write the actions for your product by hand, which takes about a week and costs a fixed fee, and then you pay per demo that answered someone. That is a smaller commitment than an enterprise licence and a worse fit for a large field org — which is the honest shape of the trade.
Side by side
When Consensus is the better buy
If what you need is in the list above, buy that. We take a week to set up, charge a fixed fee to write the actions for your product, and then charge per demo that answered someone — which is a bad trade if you wanted something publishable this afternoon, and a good one if more people ask to see your product than your team has hours to show it.
